I do exist!

Everybody knows the mommy is usually behind the camera and RARELY in any pictures, but my friend Lindsay (Logan's mommy) posted some really cute pictures of our play date on her blog here. She shot this one of me with Nate and Lilly after I risked my life crawling into the bouncy house to play. Thanks for taking this, Lindsay!!

Victory Lap

As you may recall from this post last year , we are Minnesota Vikings fans in this house. Even though I am from Dallas, my husband is a Vikings fan and I have to live with him when they lose, therefore I am also a Vikings fan! :)

So serious..

Nate filling out his jersey a little better this year..
It was a good day for Brian with the win over the Cowboys. We were all in our Vikings gear, and it was so beautiful outside that we decided to go for a walk after the big win.

Nate and Lilly LOVE running around outside. Yes, I said RUNNING! I am convinced Lilly would be in Mississippi by now if we hadn't stopped her. That girl is the energizer bunny (she didn't have Vikings gear so purple pants will have to do)!

Way to go Vikes!! Good Luck in New Orleans!

Play Town!

On Saturday we met some of our friends and their sweet kiddos at a really cool place for kids to play. We had been to a birthday party there several months ago, but Nate and Lilly could barely walk then and this time they were running around everywhere! They had a great time and so did we. It was nice to see them getting a little more adventurous and having fun. We went to grab lunch afterwards and all four kids behaved themselves unbelievably- it was AWESOME!

Dad got in one of the bouncy houses with Nate..

All four kids playing..

Logan coming to join the fun!
Let me out of here!
They had so much fun with the cars!

Old habits die hard..
Look at all this STUFF!

Lilly had a death grip on this baby doll. We had to pry it out of her hands kicking and screaming when we left!

Just a little off of the back..

.. turned in to the great hair massacre of 2010!!!

Nate's hair grows sooo fast, and our babysitter usually cuts it, but last Friday she didn't get a chance. Nate was in front of me on the floor Friday night and I thought "I can just cut a little off the back.. it is so long!"

Isn't that how it always starts?

Several snips and one bald spot later, I called Brian at work to tell him I had messed up the back of our son's head tragically. I didn't take any pictures of it Friday night, but Saturday morning Brian took trimmers to it (front and back). Nate got down and ran into the room to me. I instantly started crying as soon as I saw him. All his thick hair butchered off!

The only thing that makes me feel better is that it will be back to normal in a week or two. Thank goodness. Sorry, Buddy. We'll get you fixed up. I learned my lesson. Never again!

Brand new baby!

We went to visit our good friends and their three day old baby boy on Saturday. He slept the ENTIRE time we were there, which was perfect because we could just hold him and love on him! Ahh, I remember the sleeping phase. We told them to enjoy it while it lasts! HAHA

HOW CUTE AND SWEET IS HE?!

Lilly taking a little peek..
Lilly found this monkey and decided she needed to take care of it for the remainder of our visit.
She even put him in the swing and rocked him..
Nate isn't sure what is so special about a new baby..They sized him up for a bit..
I know it looks like the baby is about to slide off the couch, but he really wasn't!!
Proud new dad..

I have pictures of baby and mom too, but I had explicit instructions to not post them on my blog. HEHE. Don't we all love those fresh from the hospital pictures holding our babies? I will admit I don't have any of me blown up and framed in my living room either!

Bath Time = Happy Babies

And we all know Happy Babies = Happy Mom, so we all love bath time!

Look at these sweet babies in the tub!!

I can't get enough of these kissy pictures!!Lilly trying to stay warm while I get bubba all dried off and diapered!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sorry so late.. What a shocker, huh?

What a year 2009 was! We have so much to be thankful for!

We celebrated Nate and Lilly's first birthday in June with a wonderful birthday party full of family and friends. We sold our house in July, moved in with my mom for two months, and finally moved in to the new house in October. Wow! I can't believe we have already been in our new house for almost three months!

We went over to my mom's to bring in the New Year, along with my sister and her two kiddos. I can't believe Nate and Lilly actually made it until about 11! They started getting fussy so we managed to watch the ball drop in Times Square at Mom's and get home and put the babies in time in time for midnight in Dallas. About ten minutes later, these party animals were asleep! Of course, I forgot my camera so I don't have any good pictures, but I did manage to get a few the next day when we went back over to eat more, I mean, spend more time together!!

Avery reading to Lilly
Trying to get all the kids to take a picture together, but the fourth one was being a little ornery!
Once we finally got Lane to join the group, Nate was feeling a little too empathetic..
So, no resolutions this year for me. Just contentment. That is all I am going for in 2010. I want to be content and grateful for everything we have and live in the present enjoying each day. I want to still be able to relax and enjoy my family even if I don't have time or energy to do every single thing on my list. It is ok if my house isn't sparkling clean or if I don't have time to exercise like I should. Those aren't the most important things!
WISHING EVERYONE CONTENTMENT in 2010!!

Christmas card pictures!

Sorry for the late posts! I completely forgot I hadn't posted these yet.

Here are the pictures that I put on the Christmas card this year..

Drumroll, please............................

THE BEST:

I LOVE this Santa picture! We really lucked out getting right in to see him only two weeks before Christmas and on a Saturday! He was a great Santa too- so authentic looking and not scary at all. Well.. not scary to me. It looks like Nate and Lilly disagreed! We sat them in Santa's lap and as soon as we took one step back the crying started.. the picture was taken and everything was over in a matter of seconds.. very minimal traumatization! Totally worth it! :)
Also- I added a few pictures to this post, so go look if you want to see!
