New nap time routines

At some point recently, I don't remember when, we discovered that Nate and Lilly would take better naps if we let them sleep on the living room floor, so that is what we have been doing.  We are usually sleeping on the floor or on the couches next to them! 

I thought this was the cutest thing ever, so I took a very QUIET picture with my phone..

 Last Sunday Nate finally fell asleep on his Thomas the Train book..

I love them like this.. not crying, whining, or fussing.. SOUND ASLEEP!! :)  HEHE

Bluebonnets- Take 2!

If at first you don't succeed.. you probably should have just taken a HINT! We went back even though it was still windy!! They didn't want to cooperate but I love some of the candid ones I got of them running around.

Bluebonnets Part I - FAIL!

Last weekend my photography class had our field trip out at this neat place that had a lot of pretty blue bonnets. For you non-Texans, this is our state flower. It is a beautiful wild flower and grows sporadically in fields for a very short period of time in the Spring. Baby pictures in the blue bonnets are a MUST if you live in Texas!! They have eluded me every year so this year I was determined. Brian met me out there with the kids and we went for it. Let me just say, they both looked beautiful, but we had the cards stacked against us from the get go. It was extremely windy (I mean-waiting for a house to crash down on a wicked witch- windy), and they were very distracted with everyone in my class trying to take pictures of them too! On top of that, I was stressed and it just wasn't a good combo. I only had a bout 15 minutes, and had about a hundred other things I was supposed to be taking pictures of!  So we are headed back out next weekend for a redo. But for now, here are some of the cute ones from Saturday.. Not great, but still cute and kinda funny!

Lilly loves to change Dolly's diapers now.. I think she's kind of observant.. What do you think?

She is wasting quite a lot of diapers and wipes, but it sure is cute!

Riding!

All Aboard! Fun with Thomas the Train

A couple of weekends ago we went up to Grapevine to meet some friends and catch a ride on Thomas the Train!  It was a total bummer because the weather had been so nice, but that morning a cold front came through and it was all gray and rainy.  We tried to make the best of it and enjoy a few activities while we were there!

Before we got in line for our train ride, we went into this cool little petting zoo where all the little animals were within arms reach.  It was super crowded, but they did get to chase after a few bunny rabbits!  The kids were so interested in all the animals, and made us laugh with all their animal noises! 

 They had a cool set up in a tented room with this whole town on a table.  They has several different trains going around the tracks.  It looked so real!

 Here is Thomas- he was hooked to the front of the train!

 They got some cute little certificates for riding the train. 

 All in all, our first train ride was a hit!!  Nate and Lilly were talking about it for days! 

 "CHOO CHOO!"
