I told myself I wasn't buying these, but of course one look at them smiling and holding hands and I'm such a SUCKA!  They had sweet individual pictures too, but I'm having trouble getting those uploaded from my phone tonight.

Time for spring classes and other fun stuff!

This spring we decided Nate was ready to try the soccer class again, and it's been going great!  He was really like a different kid.  Amazing what a difference 7 months can make!  It was a different coach this time.  Nate jumped right in and started trying to do exactly what he was telling them to do, and he did good!  He was great running around when he had his own ball, but when it came to scrimmage time on the first night, he wasn't so sure how they were all supposed to go after ONE ball!!  He was upset he couldn't get to the ball so he kind of just froze.  But the second class, he did much better, at least running around after the ball with the rest of the group!  Poor sweet baby boy needs to be a little more aggressive, but I'm sure Daddy will work on that!!  I worry because he's so hard on himself.  No matter what we say, he never quite feels like he did good enough.  I sure hope that changes, I just really couldn't be prouder of him and it makes me sad when he says "I didn't did good, Mommy".  I hope he is just trying to get some reassurance.  He always seems to buck up later and be excited about what he learned to do in class, which makes me feel better. I just want him to have FUN!

Lilly was ready to start something new too, and she said she wanted gymnastics this time!  She's pretty quiet about it, but from what I can tell, she likes it!  I think (I hope) it's building her confidence and that's a good thing!!  These phone pics are horrible because we can't be in the gym with them, so I have to watch from the window way at the other side of the gym.  But that's her right in the middle, in the purple leotard jumping off a little spring board!

A few days ago we had some HOT weather and got out to the park to play after being stuck inside sick for quite a while..

 They had too much fun spinning on this.. so much so, that they both thought they were going to be sick when they finally stopped :-/  Someday they'll learn to listen to me!

 

And just in case anyone is keeping track.. I had Lilly take a picture of me at about 20 weeks (this was about a week and a half ago).   I'm really a lot bigger than the picture makes me look :)  I've already gained 15 pounds, I just hope I don't gain as much as I did with the twins!!!  It's not looking good so far! :)

Valentine's Day and Easter!

Just a few pictures from Valentine's and Easter!! 

 

This year N and L filled out their Valentines for their classmates ALL BY THEMSELVES!  It took us 2 or 3 nights to get the 10 kids in their class, but they worked hard and did great!

 

In our Valentine's Day digs for our party at school! (Lilly told me she wanted a "side pony tail that went over her shoulder".  She's getting very concerned with her hair styles and outfits these days.)

After everyone passed out Valentine's, they got to frost and decorate their own sugar cookies at their class party.  YUMMM

Now on to EASTER!  I don't know if you can see in this pic, but here we are at a HUGE Easter Egg Hunt at the church where they go to school.  They just put thousands of eggs in a huge field and divided it by age (See all the eggs behind them?).  We were in the very front of the stampede and they didn't get quite how aggressive and fast you have to be to scoop up your share of eggs, but they did good, and I think next year they'll go for it even more!!

 

Holding up their winnings just a few minutes later!  Nate had a ton more than Lilly, so he was sweet enough to give her a few of his :)

 

Then we died Easter eggs! 

 

 

Sunday morning.. and the Easter Bunny dropped off a few little goodies!

Easter was nice. After church, we went over to Mom's and spent the day relaxing (after eating a yummy lunch, of course!) 

The neat thing about Easter this year was that the kids (Nate more so), seemed to kind of understand what it is about.  They seemed to absorb the stories from the past week in school and Sunday school, about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, because he loved us, and then rising from the grave.  Nate started saying in his night time prayers "and thank you that Jesus died on the cross for us".  I know they can't fully grasp everything (and sometimes wonder if I, as an adult, fully grasp it), but I feel good that they are starting to really think about what it all means..
