When Nate and Lilly got old enough (maybe a year or two ago), we wanted to try and do things with them separately so they could each feel special or have a special connection with us. I forgot to post pics last year so I thought this year I'd share a few things Brian took the kids to do in the winter/ spring (just them and Daddy).
Before it got to warm outside, they went camping out at Joe Pool Lake. Last year it was just the three of them and they LOVED it, but this year Brian's buddy and his son (who the kids love) came along! They grilled burgers, listened to music, played in the mud and even tried their hand at fishing! I hope they will be able to do this every spring. Maybe in a couple of years, Ben and I will join them!

In March, Brian took Lilly on a Daddy/Daughter date to see Little Mermaid musical. The whole production was put on my kids 18 and under. Lilly loved the musical and her special time with Daddy!

Another tradition with Daddy.. the MONSTER TRUCK SHOW! Last year, it was just Nate and Brian but this year Lilly went too. They stayed late and loved every minute.
Have to have ear covers because those trucks are loud!!!
