First day of second grade at our new school!

We are now officially Keller ISD LONESTARS!  We have heard nothing but great things since before we even moved here, but of course we were all still a bit nervous and some of us (everyone but me) are better with change than others (me).  We loved our old school so this new one has big shoes to fill. <3 div="">

Time sure has flown, but somehow we ended up with these big second graders this year!

I wouldn't even say they were nervous, maybe just excited. I'm so proud of them.  I think they had moments of missing friends from their old school, but over all, they seemed very happy when we went to pick them up this afternoon.  Nate said "every single kid in my class is my friend".  Which is all kind of a dream come true for this momma.  I just keep telling myself if they can get onboard and be excited then so can I.  Their resilience and optimism inspires me to be better.  Love these sweet kiddos so much, and am praying that they have an awesome year of learning and growing in many ways!

Ben's 3rd Birthday!

What did we ever do without this little guy in our family?  It seemed so complete, but we couldn't have ever known how incomplete it really was.  Even though he is at a tough stage of whining and crying a lot (we barely notice, what's another noisemaker, anyway?), he is still so sweet and snuggly and hilarious, we tend to forgive him gladly. 

All of a sudden he is talking so much!  He is hard to understand most of the time, but he is usually just repeating what he hears (uh-oh!).  His favorite things are playing with his cars up by the TV (still), watching movies, riding his scooter outside, and of course getting into anything his brother and sister are doing.  He's grown up so much faster than Nate and Lilly, because he is watching them and wants to do everything they do! 

We had a tiny birthday party for him at the house to celebrate.  The theme was CARS!  He loves Lightning McQueen (Deen) and Mater.

This is the first year he hasn't cried when everyone starts singing happy birthday!

Birthday donuts!

After lunch, we headed to the neighborhood spray park.  Since it was cloudy, we had the whole thing to ourselves the majority of the time.  The kids had a blast!!
