A very wet, very short, but another UNDEFEATED season for FIRE!

As of yesterday, we have completed our second undefeated season with the FIRE!  This season was full of disappointing cancellations due to ALL the RAIN we got (pretty much rained the entire month of May)!  I think they only had five games the whole spring season.  Games were rescheduled, and re-rescheduled, only to be cancelled for good, because the soccer association just realized they were running out of time for the season.  Most practices were also canceled for the same reason, and Nate was pretty bummed out every time I had to give him the news.  So, at least I know he really does enjoy playing!  He's come such a long way in the last couple of years, I'm so proud of him.  It's not in his nature to be super aggressive, so he is hard on himself when he can't be the one always stealing the ball or scoring all the goals.  But he's improving so much, and I know he can do anything he puts his mind to because he has that kind of determination.  It's just a matter of time and practice!!

Here they are with Coach Ben at the end of their last game.

Time for medals!

This isn't the whole team, just the ones that were left at this point after the game!

Not sure why these pictures are out of order, but here are more from the end of the game with coach.

Go FIRE!

Our little dancing queen! Lilly's big recital!

Well, the whole reason we changed dance studios last fall was because Lilly wanted to dance on stage in front a bunch a people.. and her dream came true a few days ago at her big tap/ballet RECITAL!  They've had a few little dance shows at craft fairs for practice, but this was the big one that the dance studio does once a year for every single dance class.

Here she is ready to go in her pretty peacock recital outfit!

Waiting for her turn to dance.  (So this is a funny story.  I wasn't supposed to be a backstage mom helper, but after seeing the only other mom who was back there helping, screaming at the girls like they were dogs, I decided to stay back and help, hoping maybe I could keep the psycho from bringing any of the girls to tears!  Everything turned out fine.. no tears!

Dancing Queen performing.. she did so good!!!!  These pics below are actually from the dress rehearsal, because I knew there wouldn't be any flash photography allowed at the actual recital the next day..

Changing shoes in between gigs!

Time for ballet!

After the rehearsal, it was just the two of us, so we decided to play!

Some pics from my phone!

Flowers from Mommy, Daddy, Nate and Ben!

My view from backstage!

Also got some pretty pink roses from our sweet neighbors who came, Donna and Mike!
Family picture after the recital! (Poor Daddy was chasing around Ben while I was backstage with Lilly's group).

Although she is shy and quiet, she faces her fears in ways that make me so proud.  I know being on stage is outside her comfort zone, but she never once seemed nervous or upset, or like she didn't want to go on stage.  She was excited and ready to rock, and that she did.  Love this girl so much!!
