More visitors and Happy New Years (from the play room)!

We had our last round of visitors here to see Benny and help us ring in 2014!  Brian's sister (Aunt Kelly), Uncle Tom and cousin Emily came down to stay with us and the kids got more fun cousin time in!

Some phone pictures from our visit to the Dallas World Aquarium.  It was really neat, I'm so glad we got the chance to go!  Way more than just an aquarium.   The whole inside was set up like a rain forest.  There were birds, monkeys, a jaguar, flamingos, in addition to the alligators, sharks, fish, turtles and much more!

A big manatee eating lettuce!  This thing is huge!

Yes, Lilly dressed in her Super girl costume for our NYE celebration :).  Nate and Lilly put on a show for us in the play room with our karaoke machine.

After the show in the playroom, we ate some yummy snacks and watched Despicable Me 2, and then tuned in to watch the ball drop.

10 seconds to midnight!!

Everyone gathered around baby Ben :)

 Cousins!
A quick picture in the morning before Kelly, Tom and Emily headed home.  I love that Lilly is wearing a fur vest over pajamas. :)

Thanks for driving all the way down here and starting the new year off with us!  We miss you guys!

Christmas Day

Look what Santa brought!

Ben was awake bright and early, of course oblivious to it all..
I would say it's neat to see the excitement on their faces, but I think confusion would be a better word than excitement.  Never can tell if Santa quite hit the mark or not.

Ben seemed pretty happy :)

Daddy playing TROUBLE, one of his favorite games as a kid, with Nate and Lilly.  Thanks for the games, Colorado Me-Ma and Papa!!

So exhausted after a long day of playing!

Merry Christmas, and Happy Birthday, JESUS!!

Ben's four month pictures and stats!

Ben turned four whole months old just before Christmas, and had his well check up a couple of weeks after that.  He sure is getting hefty, weighing in at almost 18 pounds (75th percentile)!  I don't remember how long he was, but he was about in the 50th percentile there.  We're lucky he has been healthy- there have been a lot of nasty stomach bugs and other sicknesses like the flu, croup, and RSV running rampant this winter.  Thank you God, for keeping us all healthy!

He's getting a lot stronger, holding his head up really well and even looking like he wants to roll over when he does tummy time.  He is such a smiley baby and loves to laugh.  He also like to jabber, and due to only taking a few cat naps during the day, is always a fussy mess at night.  Apparently he loves spending lots of quality time with me, because he still wakes up to eat at least two or three times during the night.  I'm exhausted but I have to say, I'd do it forever if I could keep him little and sweet and smooch-able just like he is right now.

Getting so cute and CHUNKY!!

SUCH a happy baby, and not just when the camera is out.
PLEASE stay this way forever, sweet boy!!
