Some very important missing pieces from Fall 2014!

September
September was a busy month!  Nate and Lilly transitioned into their all day school schedule better than we could've imagined.  They never really seemed overly tired and looked forward to going to school every morning.  This month Lilly also started a Ballet/Tap class at a new dance school called "A Step in Time".  She knows to little friends from pre-school and really loves it so far!  Nate started his second season of soccer, on a new team this time.  What a change we have seen in him with a new coach and more aggressive team!  They are so much fun to watch and won EVERY game of the season!
Ben is 13 months old.  Loving every minute of being at home by himself while Nate and Lilly are in school, but he also gets excited when it's time to go pick them up.  It's a good thing, because I usually have to wake him up from his nap.  He's practically running already, but not talking too much.  He LOVES being outside and gets very upset when we have to go in!  It's starting to get hard to take his picture because he's either running away from me or running towards me wanting to play with my camera!

October
Ben is 14 months old!  He loves books, his favorites are Barnyard Dance and Pajama Time.  He loves balls and playing with Nate and Lilly's toys.  He laughs and smiles ALL DAY LONG!  Such a sweet baby.  He is an awesome sleeper, taking one or two naps in the day time and sleeping about 12 hours at night.  He loves playing with Mommy and Daddy's phones!!

November
Lilly had her first recital (for this school) in November, at a craft fair.  She did a tap dance with her class and got to wear a pretty tutu!  She did awesome!  Nate scored his first TWO goals on his new soccer team, and then another at his last game.  I was a PROUD mommy!!!  Ben was 15 months old and really getting adventurous.  He is constantly opening doors, drawers, trying to climb on the couch, and use the step stool to reach things.  He is way more of a rebel than Nate and Lilly ever were!  He loves to spin around and around, loves to give hugs and kisses (especially loves kissing and smiling at pictures of himself!), and thinks it's funny to bend down with his head between his legs and look at whatever is behind him.  He also laughs up a storm when we say "how big is Benny?!" and he raises up his arms knowing that we are going to tickle him when we say "soooo big!"

More pics from November.. Ben and Nate horsing around!

And after a few confusing eye doctor appointments, we finally figured out Lilly is a little near sighted in one eye and needs glasses to help her see the board in glass.  So of course, she chose the pink Hello Kitty frames!

Thanksgiving 2014!

Well we survived our first "Harvest feast" as big Kindergartners!  And other than the mother who almost beat me up over a juice box, it was a success.  The cafeteria was decorated with things the kids had made and they all wore their hats and paper bag vests.  Oh, and Nate ate enough mac and cheese for five adults.  Those are pretty much the highlights!

Nate and his teacher, Mrs. Kelley
Why do they look so big in the hallway outside their classrooms..

 Lilly's class with Mrs. Stinson

Thanksgiving at Mom's was a good day.  Great food, and although we missed family who weren't there, we still had a full house with my sister and her family, and later, my aunt and uncle and cousins.

Name cards placed oh so lovingly on the table by Lilly and Avery. :)
The best pic I could get using my tri-pod (I hate that thing)!!
Cousins had fun playing in the backyard!

Time to play games inside!!  The kids had a blast playing "Guess Who" in between screaming/wrestling/chasing/tattle-telling, and asking for something to eat/drink.

"Come on, Mommy, I'm fussy and tired.  Take me home and put me in bed!"
Aunt and cousin skyping with other cousin because he had to work and couldn't come down..

,

Thank you, Jesus, for your forgiveness and grace.  And for another year with oh so many sweet blessings to be thankful for.

Halloween 2014!

Halloween started off with "book character" day at school.  We have books for these guys, so I went with it!  Yay for getting more use out of our Halloween costumes!

Raphael (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle) and of course, Elsa from Frozen:
 Parade at school!

Benny was a Vikings football player and I found a witch hat in the dollar bin at Target, so there ya go!

Had a fun little get together with friends before we headed off to Trick-or Treat!

 Our carved pumpkins!

Halloween wouldn't be complete without Grandma!

Hope everyone got a lot of good candy!  I know we did!!!!
