Happy Birthday to Benny!

Somehow my baby has turned TWO already.  He is definitely acting like a two year old, throwing tantrums, whether he has a good reason to or not.  He definitely does not like when he doesn't get his way.  He has a hard time in crowds, or situations where a lot of people are in his face.  He does much better in a big open space where he can run and play and do his own thing.  And most of the time, he's a really easy baby, just as sweet as he can be.  I just want to mush on him all day long (and sometimes I spend the better part of the day doing just that while big bro and sis are in school).  He fell in love with an Alvin and the Chipmunks movie that Nate and Lilly had just gotten for their birthday in June, and that's all he ever wants to watch!  We decided to throw him a little Chipmunks birthday party, but it wasn't easy finding party décor!  haha

Here he is on the morning of his birthday- watching his favorite movie in the playroom!
Couldn't find anyone to make us an Alvin and the Chipmunks cake, so I bought a regular cake at Sam's, and found some figurines on Ebay, and VOILA!  Alvin, Simon, Theodore!!
This Alvin balloon was bigger than Ben.  He loved it!!  He kept saying "ha dunny!" (How funny)

We went small for the party, and we all loved it.  That's definitely the direction we are moving in for future birthday parties!!  Our best friends and their kids, my cousin and his family, and my mom!  Ben had no idea what was happening, and the big kids had a blast playing.

Buddies for life.
My cousin, Clayton and his sweet baby girl!
Lots of babies at this party!

Having fun

Presents!

Time to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY and eat some cake and ice cream!

I didn't get the cake cut fast enough, so he took Simon and starting licking the icing off of his feet!

Worked off the cake and ice cream with some swim time at the pool!
We had fun!

Sweet Benny, you made my heart grow BIGGER than I could have ever imagined.  We thought we had our little family set, until you came along and showed us just what we were missing.  Another sweet, spunky, mischievous, happy, funny, loving little boy. I'm so proud to be your mommy.  You complete our family in the best way.  You'll always be Mommy's baby.  Happy birthday, Ben.  We love you to the moon and back!
